These are the same shims we use when installing our CNC Cylinder Support/Block Guard, and now you can buy and install them yourself.Available in four thicknesses: .025″, .028″, .031″, and .035″. Before ordering, use a set of feeler gauges to determine which thickness your engine needs. Some engines require mixed sizes across cylinders, while others will be uniform. Make sure to thoroughly clean the grooves with thinner or another strong solvent, and run the largest feeler gauge that fits to remove any remaining debris or buildup. Each shim is laser-cut from spring steel or 301 stainless steel, and every kit includes: An aluminum installation block to safely tap the shims into place without damaging the block surface Printed installation instructions and helpful tips for a smooth and easy install Please note that the shim are laser cut and the edge might need cleaning.
