VK56 Billet Timing Cover Plate with Cam Sensor Provision

The stock timing gear covers on the VK56 engine aren’t exactly great-looking. These billet covers replace those pesky OEM pieces and add a clean, finished look to the engine. The LH cover also allows installation of a cam sensor on the front gear, perfect for setups using an aftermarket cam without the cam signal pattern machined on the back. A compatible cam sensor is available from the drop-down menu. We are also working on the cam sensor teeth that will soon be available. An M12x1.0 plug is available for those running an OEM computer or simply not needing a front cam sensor. Note: These covers will not fit engines with variable cam timing gears and they will not seal the VVT oil feed. You will have to plug the oil feed and install non-VVT cam gear if you want to use these cover. We designed these covers to share the same style as our electric water pump conversion plate, giving a seamless, all-billet look when used together. Each plate is CNC machined out of 1/2″ thick 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized with a laser etched logo. It seals using a captive O-ring for a perfect, reusable, gasket-less seal.
